学校前身为洛阳市第一职业中学，2008年经市政府批准升格为洛阳市职教中心，2016年被教育部认定为“国家中等职业教育改革发展示范学校”。经过四十余年发展，形成“一体两翼”办学格局：以中等职业教育为主体，同步开展社会培训与国际教育合作。目前占地180亩，建筑面积12.6万平方米，实训设备总值达1.2亿元，建有智能制造、工业互联网、数字商贸等8个省级实训基地。
