四川绵阳轻化技工学校是经四川省人民政府批准设立的全日制公办技工院校，隶属于绵阳市教育和体育局管理。学校坐落于中国科技城——绵阳，依托区域产业优势，以化工、机械加工、电子技术等专业为特色，形成“产教融合、工学一体”的办学模式。建校以来，累计培养中高级技能人才超1.2万人，毕业生就业率连续五年保持在98%以上，其中70%以上进入中国重汽、京东方、长虹集团等大型企业。学校现为“国家级重点技工学校”“四川省高技能人才培训基地”，拥有省级精品专业2个、市级重点实验室4个，实训设备总值超3000万元。

学校前身为1978年创建的绵阳轻工业技工班，2003年经省政府批准升格为全日制技工学校。作为绵阳市唯一以轻工、化工为主的技工院校，学校紧密围绕西部（绵阳）科学城建设需求，重点服务先进材料、电子信息、装备制造等产业集群。
